TDP District President Panabaka Lakshmi Visits Naidupeta, Highlights Coalition Government Welfare Measures

During her Naidupeta visit, TDP district president Panabaka Lakshmi highlighted the coalition government’s welfare schemes

Tirupati district Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Panabaka Lakshmi visited Naidupeta town on Monday, where she was accorded a warm reception by local leaders. She reached the residence of former MP Nelavala Subrahmanyam, where Sullurpeta MLA Dr. Nelavala Vijayashree honoured her with a shawl, in the presence of coalition government leaders and party functionaries.

Addressing party leaders and supporters during the visit, Panabaka Lakshmi said continuous discussions are being held with coalition partners to further strengthen the Telugu Desam Party across the constituency. She stated that the coalition government is steadily implementing the ‘Super Six’ promises made during the elections, reflecting its commitment to public welfare.

She explained that the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme is one of the most significant initiatives, providing financial support to parents to help educate their children. Unlike the previous government, which offered assistance to only one member per family, the present coalition government, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is providing ₹15,000 for every child in a family to support education. This step, she said, is ensuring that children from poor and middle-class families continue their studies without financial burden.

Panabaka Lakshmi noted that parents have expressed satisfaction with the scheme, stating that their children are progressing in education and gaining better opportunities for the future. She said such programmes are designed to create long-term social development rather than short-term relief.

Criticising the previous administration, she said increased electricity charges had caused serious hardship to the general public and farmers. She added that after the coalition government came to power, power tariffs were reduced, bringing relief to households and the farming community. She further pointed out that the government is encouraging farmers to adopt drip irrigation, enabling them to practice efficient farming and improve incomes.

She also recalled that senior citizens are now receiving ₹4,000 per month as pension after the formation of the coalition government. Calling upon party workers and leaders, Panabaka Lakshmi urged them to work with renewed enthusiasm for the upcoming local body elections. She stressed the need for grassroots-level coordination to ensure a strong victory for the coalition.

Assuring party cadres, she said the government would remember and recognise the efforts of every worker and leader who works sincerely for the party’s success.

The event was attended by Naidupeta AMC Chairman and Jana Sena Party Sullurpeta constituency in-charge Uyyala Praveen, TDP leaders Nagireddy Chandrasekhar Reddy, Kothalapudi Rajesh, district officer representative Tirumuru Sudhakar Reddy, Odili Mandal TDP president G. Vijayakumar Naidu, former Naidupeta municipal chairperson Mailari Shobharani, Kurugonda PACS chairperson Dr. Dara Ankaiah, Poleramma Temple Committee chairman Nanabala Subbarao, and several other party leaders and supporters.
