‘Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku’ Programme Strengthens Land Rights for Farmers in Tada Mandal

Under the ‘Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku’ initiative, farmers in Tada Mandal received pattadar passbooks after re-survey completion

The state government’s ‘Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku’ initiative, aimed at protecting farmers’ land rights, is being successfully implemented in Tada Mandal. As part of the programme, pattadar passbooks were distributed to farmers from villages where the re-survey process has been completed, at the MPDO office in Tada. The passbooks were handed over by local MLA Nelavala Vijayashree and TDP Tirupati district president Panabaka Lakshmi, in the presence of a large number of farmers.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Nelavala Vijayashree said that every farmer in villages where the re-survey has been completed will receive pattadar passbooks carrying the official state seal, ensuring legal recognition of land ownership. She explained that the main objective of the programme is to provide clear and accurate information regarding land boundaries, extent, and ownership, thereby removing long-standing confusion in land records.

The MLA stated that farmers have been given the opportunity to raise objections and seek corrections if any errors or discrepancies are found during the re-survey process. She stressed that the vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is to ensure that every farmer feels secure and satisfied about his or her land rights. According to her, transparent land records are essential for building trust between farmers and the administration.

Vijayashree further noted that the ‘Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku’ programme plays a key role in creating a dispute-free environment, allowing farmers to focus on cultivation without fear of land-related conflicts. With clear documentation, farmers will be able to access bank loans, crop insurance, and government welfare schemes more easily in the future. She added that the initiative offers a long-term solution to land-related issues that have troubled rural communities for decades.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Panabaka Lakshmi, TDP Tirupati district president, said that even though the state was facing a heavy debt burden when the coalition government came to power, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been working tirelessly to rebuild the state. She praised his ability to balance development and welfare through his administrative experience and vision.

Panabaka Lakshmi said that the government’s focus on farmer welfare is strengthening the rural economy. She pointed out that when land ownership is clearly recorded, farmers gain confidence, which in turn leads to better agricultural productivity and financial stability. She said programmes like ‘Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku’ reflect the government’s commitment to sustainable rural development.

The programme was attended by TDP district vice-presidents, Tahsildar Sharath Babu, MPDO Shekhar Naik, party leaders, and a large number of farmers from Tada Kandriga village, who welcomed the initiative and expressed satisfaction over the clarity provided by the new land records.
