Tirumala: Affordable traditional pooja services are now available at Tirumala Kalyana Vedika, while the Brahmotsavams at Srinivasamangapuram

Devotees visiting Tirumala can now perform important traditional rituals at affordable charges at the Sri Vari Kalyana Vedika. Under the supervision of the Priests’ Association, several religious ceremonies needed by families and pilgrims are being conducted in a systematic and scriptural manner. These services are made available by TTD to ensure that devotees can observe rituals without financial burden.

Major ceremonies such as marriage, upanayanam, Satyanarayana Vratham, naming ceremony, first feeding, aksharabhyasam, vehicle pooja, and other customary rituals are being offered at fixed nominal fees. While marriages are performed free of cost, other rituals are priced reasonably so that more devotees can benefit. The initiative has been receiving a good response, especially from pilgrims seeking traditional practices during their Tirumala visit. Devotees can directly contact the Priests’ Association at the Kalyana Vedika for details and bookings.

Meanwhile, the annual Brahmotsavams at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srinivasamangapuram began in a grand manner with the Dhwajarohanam ceremony on Sunday morning. The event was held amidst Vedic chants, auspicious music, and devotional chants by devotees. Prior to the flag hoisting, several preparatory rituals including Tiruchi Utsavam, Vishwaksena worship, and homams were performed as per tradition.

TTD officials stated that elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the Brahmotsavams, which will be held from February 8 to February 16. Important events such as Garuda Seva, Swarna Ratha Utsavam, Ratha Utsavam, and Chakrasnanam are scheduled during the festival period. Special crowd management and security measures have been planned, especially on days expecting heavy pilgrim turnout.
