Ambati Rambabu Granted Bail in Pattabhipuram Case by Guntur Court

Guntur court granted bail to Ambati Rambabu in the Pattabhipuram case and dismissed the police custody petition. Having already secured bail in another case, his release from Rajahmundry jail is expected soon.

Former Minister and YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu has received major relief as a Guntur court granted him bail in the Pattabhipuram case. The case was registered alleging that he misbehaved with police officials. The court also dismissed the custody petition filed by the police.

The case was registered at Pattabhipuram police station limits, following which Ambati Rambabu was arrested and produced before the court. He was remanded and shifted to Rajahmundry Central Jail. After hearing the bail petition, the Guntur court granted him bail with a condition to submit two sureties worth ₹10,000 each.

Earlier, Ambati Rambabu had also secured bail in another case related to alleged inappropriate remarks against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The Guntur Special Junior Civil Court had granted bail in that matter. However, due to remand in the Pattabhipuram case, he continued to remain in jail.

With bail now granted in both cases, his release from Rajahmundry jail is expected soon, likely after the bail orders are formally communicated to jail authorities.

Following the court’s decision, Ambati Rambabu responded through his official X account. In his post, he stated, “Oppression, attacks, and prisons cannot imprison light,” indirectly referring to his arrest and the present political situation. The tweet has sparked discussion in political circles.

Legal proceedings in both cases will continue as per court directions. For now, the bail orders have provided temporary relief to the former minister.
