Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan is learnt to have expressed strong dissatisfaction with his party leaders. This development took place during the Jana Sena General Body meeting held on Monday in Mangalagiri. The meeting was attended by the party’s state executive members, ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, corporation chairpersons, district and city presidents, Veera Mahila coordinators, official spokespersons, and various cell heads.
During the meeting, Pawan Kalyan reportedly questioned the performance of party leaders and openly conveyed his displeasure. He is said to have strongly reacted to the silence of Jana Sena leaders over the ongoing controversy related to alleged adulterated ghee used in Tirumala laddu prasadam. Despite the issue gaining wide public attention, Pawan Kalyan reportedly asked why party leaders failed to respond effectively and counter what he described as false propaganda by the YSRCP. He is said to have expressed anger over the lack of a clear and strong response from the party.
At the same time, the Tirumala laddu adulteration case took a new turn with the CBI Special Investigation Team filing a chargesheet in the Nellore court. Following this, political tensions intensified with allegations and counter-allegations between the YSRCP and the TDP. YSRCP supporters have been circulating social media posts recalling Pawan Kalyan’s earlier remarks alleging the presence of animal fat in the laddu and claims that the temple steps were washed. In this backdrop, Pawan Kalyan is reportedly unhappy that Jana Sena leaders are not responding firmly to the campaign targeting him.
Pawan Kalyan is also said to have taken a serious view of the controversy involving Jana Sena MLA Arava Sridhar. Videos and alleged chat messages linked to Sridhar going viral on social media, along with sexual harassment allegations made by a woman government employee, have caused a major stir across the state. Reports suggest that Pawan Kalyan issued a stern warning, stating that he has full details of the matter.
Taking the allegations seriously, the Jana Sena leadership has constituted a special committee to probe the charges against Arava Sridhar. Party sources said that Sridhar has been given one week’s time to appear before the committee and submit his explanation. Jana Sena leaders have made it clear that the party will act strictly in matters that damage its image and credibility.
These developments have triggered discussions within the party on internal discipline and the need for a more proactive approach on public issues. Political observers believe that Jana Sena leaders may adopt a more aggressive and visible stance in the coming days.
