A case has been registered against Railway Koduru MLA Arava Sridhar following allegations of sexual harassment made by a woman government employee. Acting on the directions of the National Human Rights Commission, Railway Koduru police registered the case.

Reacting to the issue, Arava Sridhar appeared before a three-member inquiry committee formed by his party. He attended the hearing in Railway Koduru and submitted his explanation along with supporting evidence. Later, while speaking to the media, the MLA said he attended the inquiry as per party instructions and fully explained his stand to the committee.

He stated that the committee would submit its report to the party leadership, and a final decision would be taken based on that report. Arava Sridhar also made it clear that he would follow whatever decision the party takes after reviewing the findings.

During the controversy, videos allegedly showing him speaking on a video call during Assembly sessions have been circulating on social media. The MLA said he clarified this matter as well before the inquiry committee.

Calling the issue a personal matter, Arava Sridhar requested that it should not be linked to the party. He appealed to the people of the Railway Koduru constituency not to believe rumors or misunderstand the situation.

He said he is prepared to respond to any number of cases and will prove the truth through legal means.

Police officials confirmed that the case was registered following the Human Rights Commission’s instructions. Further investigation is expected based on legal procedures and the party committee’s report.
